Nintendo announced it will debut its Super Nintendo World tie-up with Universal Studios at its theme park in Osaka, Japan.
The Super Nintendo World park at Universal Studios Japan is expected to open before the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo.
The venture will cost more than 50 billion yen ($433 million) and is expected to create more than one million jobs in Japan within 10 years of its opening.
Nintendo first announced in 2015 plans to construct Super Nintendo World Park in Universal Studios’ amusement parks in Osaka, Japan and in Hollywood and Orlando in the U.S.
Shigeru Miyamoto, Nintendo’s creative fellow, assured fan favorite Super Mario will be the main attraction in all three Super Nintendo World Parks, with the characters and rides to be developed at par with Nintendo’s and Universal Studios’s highest standards.
