Do you know what the most magical man-made place in the entire country is? Of course you do. It’s Enchanted Kingdom (EK). I’m sure everyone has seen or heard about how wonderful of a place EK is. As a kid, it was paradise for me and even being a high school student today I still believe that the theme park is the best place to have fun with your friends and family.
It’s hard to believe that Enchanted Kingdom just celebrated its 21st anniversary recently but it’s easy to believe that they’re celebrating it with a bang. So when I got the invitation to experience the Ghostbusters Live! attraction, I was as charged as a fully-loaded proton pack and just as ready for action as their jeepney version of the Ghostbusters vehicle EKto-1.
For its anniversary, EK rolled out so many new and fun things. EK launched their new horror house, which is based on the Ghostbusters movie and it has perfect timing for Halloween. The place gave me the chills and thrills. One of the greatest things about the park is that while all amenities and attractions are kid-friendly, they are just as fun for teens and adults, too. I honestly can’t get over how a booth based on one of the funniest, cheesiest movies ever gave me a jump! I don’t want to spoil it for you but the scary things in the place are really realistic.
The art seen all over the attraction was beautifully done. I remember that before going in, the EK staff kept warning us not to touch the ghosts so they won’t touch you. It was hard to resist, though, because you really want to touch stuff when you are inside. (And when you’re told not to)
Ghostbusters isn’t the only new project that Enchanted Kingdom has in the works. If you happen to drive by around the place you’ll notice that they’re building this huge dome, and it’s big. The dome isn’t just some ordinary theater or sports complex but rather it’s home to possibly the next big ride EK will be putting out: Agila. Agila is going to be this realistic ride/movie attraction where we get to explore the entire Philippines through the eyes of a literal Philippine eagle. I’m so excited to try that out later this year!
With 21 years and other upcoming projects under its belt, Enchanted Kingdom is going really strong and it doesn’t look like it’s going to be stopping anytime soon. The Ghostbusters booth is a really fun place and I recommend everyone to go visit it this Halloween. Enchanted Kingdom really cares about their visitors and you can tell that just by going around the place. I want to say thank you to everyone there for giving me an awesome day and I hope you have one there, too.
