One of El Nido, Palawan’s island resorts has been named among the world’s favorite beach resorts by the Condé Nast Traveler magazine for the second year in a row.
El Nido Resorts’ picturesque Pangulasian Island earned anew a slot in the authoritative travel magazine’s 2017 Gold List as one of “Our Favorite Beach Resorts in the World.”
Pangulasian Island is the only Philippine island resort to earn the distinction, which it first earned in 2016. It is also among the “Top Resorts in Asia” in the Reader’s Choice Awards.
Resorts in Condé Nast Traveler’s Gold List are selected by the magazine’s editors and contributors after they themselves frequent the said accommodations.
“This year’s Gold list is a collective love letter to all of those hotels and resorts around the world that set the standard for a life well-lived,” the magazine’s editor-in-chief Pilar Guzman quipped in her editor’s letter.
“So while these stays are meant to take you out of the familiar, they nonetheless serve as the gold standard for how we should treat one another and ourselves—even when we are the ones making the beds.”
The resort boasts itself as the “Island of the Sun” that offers stunning views of the sunrise and sunset.
Its 42 high-end villas are designed in contemporary Filipino design blended with environment-friendly features, replete with impeccable service. (Vanessa Wright)
