After six years, Cory Quirino has given up the Miss World Philippines franchise for ‘personal and business reasons’.

Quirino’s management helped the Philippines achieve great feat with the successive wins in the pageant under her management — Gwendoline Ruais, successfully placed 1st runner-up; Megan Young finally brought home the Miss World crown in 2013, and Catriona Gray placed 4th runner-up at the recently concluded competition.

Taking over Quirino is celebrity manager Arnold Vegafria who now holds franchise for Miss World Philippines.

He wrote: “I am very happy to have been awarded the exclusive license for the Miss World AND Mr. World pageant in the Philippines.”

He also thanked Miss World Ltd. CEO and chairwoman Julia Morley and Miss World Organization’s Steve Douglas for the ‘trust and confidence.’

“With your support and guidance, I can assure you that we will continue to live up to the prestige and honor that Miss World Organization deserves- not just in the Philippines but across the world,” he added.

Vegafria heads ALV Talent Circuit Inc. that manages the likes of Miss World 2013 Megan Young, Manny Pacquiao, Billy Crawford, Carla Abellana, and Drew and Iya Arellano, to name a few.
