There is so much to do in S Maison. This unique and trendy lifestyle paradise rose with one of SM group’s luxury hotel, Conrad Manila, an architectural wonder located at the heart of the Mall of Asia complex. The mall is designed by the French company Malhbere to match Conrad Manila’s water-themed architecture whose silhouette is like that of a luxury liner docked on the port. The interiors of the 25,534square meter mall were drawn from the traditional romantic idea of the Philippines as the “Pearl of the Orient.” Lustrous surface treatments inside the mall gives you the feeling of being inside an iridescent shell. Dappled light streams from cutwork patterns of abstract leaves and twigs on the ceiling. Large, organic-shape black pearls add luster to the lobby area. And the iconic seating areas on gigantic pods resemble pearls out of a clam. The voluminous space in the lobby accommodates the trend in popup stores, kiosks, and showroom spaces, all of which provide guests something striking and out of the ordinary.
It is not surprising that it bagged the “South Asia and Pacific 2017 Special Prize for Interior” under the Shopping Malls category at the Prix Versailles World Architecture Awards held last year, May 12, 2016, at the UNESCO Headquarters in Paris, France. This, according to SM Supermalls senior vice president Steven Tan, is a testament to SM’s unwavering pursuit to deliver the most delightful malling experiences.

S Maison offers an array of internationally diverse and novel concept restaurants that bring uniqueness to the mall’s repertoire. A popup buffet was opened during the launch to give the guests a taste of S Maison’s one-of-a-kind dining experience: TWG Tea Salon and Boutique with some of the finest teas of the world; Chibo Okonomiyaki with their signature Osaka-style dining; the Western-themed Texas Roadhouse that specializes in sumptuous and delicious steaks; Rossini Ristorante Italianowhich takes familiar Italian flavors we all know and love, painted with a French twist; Golden Cowrie, a Filipino restaurant that offers the best Cebuano dishes like the famous Cebu lechon; Bijin Nabe by Tsukada Nojo with their specialty called the beauty hot pot that’s rich with collagen extracted from Jidori golden chicken; XO 46, a bistro that showcases the best of Filipino heritage cuisines; and BLK 513 with their signature matcha and raw cacao yogurt drinks.
The event was closed with a toast dedicated to the opening of the 62nd SM Supermall which solidifies SM as the biggest mall chain in the Philippines. The toast was led by Hans Sy, executive committee chairman and board member of SM Prime holdings, Jeffrey Lim, president of SM Prime holdings, and Pasay City Mayor Antonino Calixto.
