The ambience was charged with excitement at the ballroom of the Raffles and Fairmont Makati. There was a first rate bar scene, complete with a shelf decor of colorful bottles and an innovative mixologist. There were several stations of glorious food as everyone trooped back and forth to the most succulent prime ribs, the delish shawarma, the variety of exquisite cheeses and more. It was a gastronomic feast that succeeded in satisfying even the most discriminating palate.  It was after all, Philippine Tatler and Raffles and Fairmont Makati’s launch of Manila’s dining culture—T Dining, Philippine Tatler’s new dining platform.

Manila society is constantly on the know with ‘what’s new’ on the restaurant scene and on trying out the hottest restaurants in town; and fittingly enough, the Best Restaurant Guide BRG 2018 is an annual dining guide that features everything one gastronomically needs, from the most excellent wine to the finest in dining. This year, the Best Restaurant Guide featured 173 restaurants as well as the Top 20, a list of the most exciting restaurants; with four that garnered “Best of Awards.”  Philippine Tatler’s managing director Irene Martel Francisco’s impeccable attention to this special event, together with co-host and partner Raffles & Fairmont Makati led by GM David Batchelor and PR Monique Toda pleased the discerning patrons more than ever and exceeded all expectations. Special mention to executive chef Anne Cecille Degenne and Cindy Cuna; and to Jo Claravall for styling. HSBC was partner of the BRG book.
