It’s time for your dreams to come true

By Sara Grace C. Fojas

Chun Sa Angella Jung is now dominating the TV scenes with her acting prowess in kiddie shows, JC Gumacal is a certified dancer,  Gaea Salipot is singing on different stages of the world, and Esang dela Torre is portraying different roles like Matilda in Matilda the Musical and little Cosette of Le Miserables. Who says you have to wait until you’re a full grown adult to make your dreams come true?

At SM Little Stars, you can now achieve that dream of yours. This kiddie-talent search is a platform for kids to share talents, enhance their personalities, and develop their confidence. The competition not only recognizes the shining and brightest kids, but it also celebrates the start of their journey in becoming stars in the future as they inspire more children to discover their bigger talents.

“Since 2007, SM malls have been the venue to showcase young talents all over the country. Through this nationwide talent competition called SM Little Stars. We have made so many little big stars. We have children with lots of talent who are now starring in their own teleseryes or broadways shows, things that they never thought would happen to them. This year, SM Little Stars continues to be a platform for children ages four to seven to share their talents and develop their confidence. It does not only recognize the star of talents but it also celebrates their wonderful journey as they become the next generation stars,” says Grace Magno, SM VP for Advertising.

The kids who participate will have the chance to be guided by celebrity mentors and experience a series of workshops to help develop their talents and boost self-confidence, as well as to encourage them to have fun and make new friends. This year’s celebrity mentors are Miss Reina Hispanicoamericana Winwyn Marquez, singer Sam Concepcion, dancer Mickey Perz, and actor John Arcilla.

Now on its 12th year, the competition will give away over R9.6 million worth of prizes, which include two brand new Chevrolet Trax, trips for China for two, college scholarships from the National University, and R200,000 worth of cash, and SM gift certificates.

Auditions begin on April 7 in participating SM malls nationwide!
