Fun, Family, and the fort

Your simple guide on where to eat, stay, and play in BGC

By Jessica Pag-iwayan and Allyza Quirante

If you’re wondering where to go this summer for kid-friendly attractions and activities, look no further. Bonifacio Global City’s vast array of attractions makes it the top destination within the metro for the whole family.

You can start with Shangri-La at the Fort. The luxury hotel’s Stay and Play package offers guests a one- or two-bedroom Shangri-La Serviced Residence stay with the following benefits: a family buffet breakfast at High Street Café (for two adults and two kids 11 years old and below), all-day access at Adventure Zone and Kerry Sports Manila, in-room camping setup, and other welcome treats for the family.

Guests can also try Adventure Zone’s Boni the Bull’s Quizzical Adventure trivia tour and the SNAPventure photo challenge and receive a special gift upon completing the activities.

After all the hectic activities with the kids, moms can also try the decadent cakes and pastries at the High Street Lounge. Or if you’re looking for more options, there’s also the High Street Café where diners can try different dishes, from Mediterranean to Japanese and South East Asian.

Interactive Adventure for Everyone

While having a well-deserved break, you can also schedule a few hours of exploration at the Mind Museum, combining fun and learning for everyone.

This year, the museum created Space Adventure: Journey to the Wonders of the Universe. This traveling exhibition is divided into three areas. The first area is the Fantastic Universe with its interactive activities where kids can learn about stars and the constellations. The second area is where you can discover the Discover Our Solar System. It will show the little ones the differences between meteors, meteorite, and meteoroid. Kids can also “hop” on different planets to find out how their weight changes in each one. The third area is an exhibit about outer space. Your tots can pretend to take part in Mission to Mars. There’s also a Mars Space Station, where they can experience the challenges of being an astronaut—working hard to survive in another planet.

Time to Unwind

After a day of spending time with the kids, it’s time to have some well-deserved pampering via a rejuvenating spa visit. The Esencia Spa at Forbes Town offers a different beauty and wellness services to choose from, such as massages, body scrubs, and waxing.

The Esencia Signature Massage is a therapeutic blend of all of their massages, including Thai and Swedish massage. They also have a back massage paired with a foot reflexology treatment that restores the body’s balance by adding pressure on energy points on the feet. If you’re looking for a unique spa experience in the city, try the traditional Filipino ‘hilot’ that uses the healing properties of natural coconut oil and banana leaves.

Best of all, the spa offers light kiddie massages for our little ones aged three and up, fitting for a relaxing family date.
