Don’t get me wrong—I LOVE SHOPPING.
But ever since my daughter was born, my whole mindset about shopping at malls has changed. Just thinking about the logistics is giving me a headache (especially since I breastfed for 2 years – The Philippines isn’t as breastfeeding-friendly unlike Singapore — there are only a few malls which have nursing rooms and the most decent ones are at Rustan’s Department Store Makati, Powerplant Mall and at Alabang Town Center, where there is privacy; the others — you have to share, line up, or are positioned near comfort rooms… who wants to eat near a CR anyway?).
Of course, there’s the option to leave my child at home but, would you rather spend hours away and deal with the horrendous traffic than just relax and spend precious time with your child?
Anyway, I’d like to share the top benefits of online shopping:
The convenience is the biggest perk. Where else can you comfortably shop at midnight while in your sleeping attire? There are no lines to wait in or sales associates to wait on to help you with your purchases, and you can do your shopping in minutes. Online shops give us the opportunity to shop 24/7.
02.You can send gifts more easily.
Sending gifts to relatives and friends is easy, no matter where they are. Now, there is no need to make distance an excuse for not sending a gift on occasions like birthdays, weddings, anniversaries, Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, and so forth.
Cheap deals and better prices are available online, because products come to you direct from the manufacturer or seller without middleman being involved.
Many times, when we opt for conventional shopping, we tend to spend a lot more than planned. There are other outside expenses on things like eating out, transportation, and let’s not forget impulse buys!
Comparing and researching products and their prices is so much easier online. Also, we have the ability to share information and reviews with other shoppers who have firsthand experience with a product or retailer.
06.AND FINALLY – No crowds.
If you are like me, you hate crowds when you’re shopping. Especially during festivals or special events, they can be such a huge headache. Also, it tends to be more chaotic when there are more crowds out and this sometimes makes us feel rush or hurried. Plus, parking becomes a huge issue. All of these problems can be avoided when you shop online.
These are just my two cents but there are a lot more benefits with shopping online. I have also recently tried doing my groceries via Honest Bee, and my, I’m just upset that this wasn’t made available sooner! Delivery is FREE for orders P2,500 and up (and the handling fee is only P99). I saved on fuel cost, parking fees and of course my precious time.
