Updated

By Dom Galeon

One of the greater benefits that come with a globalized world is the relative ease by which we can travel. Hopping from one country to another, provided you have all the necessary documents and some cash to spare for pasalubong, of course, has never been easier. And, if you book your next flight with Singapore Airlines, it gets even better.

Singapore Airlines and SilkAir, in partnership with MasterCard, is bringing back their “Great Singapore Airlines Getaway” this September, with bigger discounts and amazing fares to over 70 great getaways around the globe. From Sept. 7 to 9, customers from Metro Manila can get first dibs on great offers and perks by visiting the Grand Atrium of the Shangri-la Plaza in Mandaluyong City. On the same weekend, Sept. 8 to 9, SilkAir brings the Great Getaway deals to the Northwing Atrium of SM City Cebu and the Atrium of SM City Davao Ecoland.

“We’re very delighted to partner with MasterCard to bring you the second edition of the Great Singapore Airlines Getaway Sale,” says Singapore Airlines station manager in Manila Eugene Goh. “This time it’s going to be bigger and better, as we bring you great destinations, great perks, and great prices.”

Just to give you an idea of what they mean by amazing fares and perks, MasterCard holders can avail of all-inclusive Economy class round-trip tickets to Singapore starting at $178, to Southeast Asia from $193, Australia from $563, Europe from $719, and the US from $876.

It’s going to be bigger and better, as we bring you great destinations, great perks, and great prices.

If you fancy a little bit more comfort in your flights, you can also book all-inclusive Premium Economy class round-trip tickets available to Australia beginning at $1,133, South Africa from $1,637, to Europe from $1,424, and the US from $1,766.
Now, if you wish to enjoy the luxurious comfort of traveling on Business class, Singapore Airlines also has you covered. Enjoy round-trip fare rates from $735 to Singapore, $893 to Southeast Asia, $2,073 to Australia, $1,957 to South Africa, and $2,399 to Europe.
If you book Business class for a long-haul flight, you might get a chance to experience the comforts of the latest addition to their fleet, the Boeing 787-10 Dreamliner, which features fully-flat beds, direct aisle access, adjustable dividers for the center aisle seats for more privacy, and—equally important—an extensive selection of the latest music, movies, and TV shows through Singapore Airlines’ award-wining in-flight entertainment system KrisWorld. Passengers who book flights to the US beginning on October this year will get to travel in style aboard the Airbus A350-900.

With MasterCard, travelers can also avail of exclusive offers to enjoy Singapore with the Singapore Stopover Holiday, which includes a free one-night stay in select hotels in the city, unlimited SIA Hop-on Bus access, Traveler Wi-Fi, and one-time access to over 20 attractions and deals for tickets booked beyond Singapore. This means you’ll have time to catch an amazing exhibit at the National Gallery, do a progressive hawker meal across town—if you want to recreate that Crazy Rich Asians scene with your friends—before you head to your final travel destination.

“We look forward to welcoming our customers on board our flights to travel to their dream destinations,” says Balagopal Kunduvara, general manager of Singapore Airlines Philippines. “We are committed to enhancing the three main pillars of our brand promise: Product Leadership, Service Excellence, and Network Connectivity, so that our customers can be assured of high standards of service and efficiency both on the ground and in the air.”

Travel period is from Oct. 1, 2018 until May 31, 2019. For more details, sign up at KrisFlyer.com or follow Singapore Airlines and SilkAir on Facebook.
