We got a sneak peek at the vibrant Uniqlo U collection hitting shelves this season, and it seriously made us wish for an excuse to layer up!
Since its debut two years ago, the minimalist chic and innovative Uniqlo U line has presented us with beautifully reinvented basics. French designer Christophe Lemaire (former artistic director at Lacoste and Hermès, and now head of his own label Lemaire) leads the Uniqlo Paris R&D Center in constantly developing advanced ideas for the Uniqlo U designs, patterns, fabric development, and sewing techniques. This season, Uniqlo U presents its most sophisticated collection yet, featuring a vivid fall and winter color palette and on-trend volume.
From rich warm reds and fuchsias, to elegant ivory and chocolate hues in lush fabrics, the Uniqlo U line is a dream to wear—and can you already imagine how great they will look on your IG feed? The women’s items exude comfort and confidence in dolman sleeves and voluminous silhouettes, while men’s pieces convey unpretentious sophistication in boxy fleece jackets and smart trenchcoats.
A host of rich ochres, fuschias, and burnt umbers enliven Uniqlo U’s collection
Travel must-haves are the BlockTech coats that are water-repellent and wind-proofed (also great for Manila’s temperamental weather). Women’s coats wick away inside moisture and have snap-on hoods, with hem slits that enhance comfort when walking or seated. There are also sweaters with vintage-style link knitting and items in comfortable ponte fabrics. This season, Uniqlo U also presents 3D knits employing advanced “wholegarment” technology in dress and sweater designs, for for seamless silhouettes that are elegantly timeless and also comfortable, symbolizing the future of LifeWear.
