A busy mom’s wish

By Jane Kingsu-Cheng

In a recent research conducted in partnership with one of the leading mom communities Mommy Mundo, it was revealed that women are still apprehensive in having fabrics such as silk clothing, delicate wear, cashmere and wool washed in the washing machine. A majority of the respondents shared that the reason for this is that they are afraid it might ruin the clothes.

At the launch of Electrolux’s FashionCare event, attendees were all nodding their heads in agreement. Everyone is scared to have their precious garments machine washed. The brand rounded up its ambassador Rajo Laurel, and council members Amina Aranaz-Alunan and Janice Villanueva to put to the UltimateCare™ washer dryer to the test with a designer dress, a silk scarf and a wool jacket. Over lunch, these delicate items were washed in front of the guests, and all of them came out dry and in very good condition.

Embracing technology

While everyone waited for the machines to do complete the challenge, host Patty Laurel-Filart interviewed the three on how life is now that they have a washing machine that they can rely on:

Mas tipid. Before, I would dry clean everyday. It would cost a lot of money. I remember my bill would be P10,000. Because of this, I was able to save money from my dry cleaning bills. -Rajo Laurel

Intentional parenting

Because of the conveniences of technology, I can sit down and have more time with them. Even if it’s just sitting with them, it’s being more intentional with that. -Janice Villanueva

I don’t have the opportunity to take care of my house every day. So when I do, I actually take the time to do household chores and I’ll bring my kids into it. It really becomes fun for us. For example, when I hosted lunch at home, I asked the kids to help me set the table. While I was setting the table, I was choosing which linens to use. And then there were these napkins that I wanted to use, but I remembered that I just got it as a gift from India. I wanted to use it but it hasn’t been washed. So, what I did, I told the kids, “No, we can wash this.” So we put it in the washing machine, put it in dryer mode, and they made it! -Amina Aranaz-Alunan

Designed to care

This washing machine model promises to deliver better stain removal with its UltraMix™ technology. It also extends the life of the clothes with Vapour Action that is designed to soften

fabric while reducing allergens by up to 99.9%. Its Eco Inverter technology reduces energy consumption by 75% and saves time by 44%. “For today’s modern woman, clothes are a way of expressing herself, which is why she doesn’t trust washing machines with her priceless pieces of clothing. But we at Electrolux want to share that now, there is a washing machine that cares for your clothes as much as you do,” shared Andrea Soto-Pionilla, Country Marketing Manager.
