The last Sunday of 2018 was a special one for the proud parents, Patrick and Nikka Garcia. It was the day they celebrated the first birthday party of their third daughter Pia. Named after both grandfathers (Patrick’s father is Francisco, while Nikka’s father is Pio), Francisca Pia M. Garcia is a rainbow baby who was conceived a month after Nikka had a miscarriage.
Celebration time It was only natural that Nikka thought of a pastel-colored sky theme. “Michelle (first-born) is our Sunshine baby, Patrice (second daughter) is our Star baby and Pia is our Rainbow baby. I really wanted to stick to that theme for her first birthday,” reveals Nikka. The venue was filled with pretty pastels in all colors of the rainbow, with all three daughters in coordinated outfits of pastel stripe hues. The parents came dressed in sunshine yellow shades, completing the good-looking family’s #ootd for the party. “I think this was the best party my husband and I have hosted yet. Everything was just perfect from the food, the suppliers, the venue, the timing, the host, the activities, the program, the giveaways and even the number of guests that arrived.”
When asked what the highlight of the party are, “special mention goes to my great grandma who has attended all special moments of mine and my girls. She’s 95 years old and we are five generations of ladies in my family.” As for the birthday girl, Nikka reveals that Pia was in awe watching the Disney princesses perform on stage.
“Pia is very sweet. She likes to hug and kiss. She enjoys being with her two older sisters. In fact, they can make her laugh more than Pat and I can. And as early as now, you can already see that she has a strong personality just like her big sisters!” Nikka’s wish for their youngest daughter is to “grow up secure of how loved she is by us. I pray she feels God’s love through us every single day of her life, from the time she came into this world.”
