Give kids a fun summer to remember with SM Supermalls’ Everyday is Playday

With classes over, kids are looking forward to a lot of fun activities this summer. Don’t worry, you don’t have to take them to faraway places. Kids can find entertainment within the city as SM Supermalls launched this year’s Everyday is Playday with television channel Nickelodeon as its partner.

Now on its third year, Everyday is Playday continues to promote active playing through its series of interactive games and play parks. A variety of booth set-ups will be available for the kids to try out, including a slime photobooth, a video installation where they can sing and dance, an obstacle maze where they battle it out with ninja turtles, and a giant genie play area.

As if those aren’t already fun enough, children will also get a chance to see their favorite Nickelodeon cartoon characters like SpongeBob Square Pants, Patrick Star, Squidward, and PAW Patrol’s Sky, Chase, and Marshall at the meet-and-greet sessions.

“There are a lot of play areas, photo opportunities, and new toys. It’s really for kids,” said Timothy Jonas Cuenca, SM Supermalls senior assistant vice president to Premier 1 and Central Regions.

What makes the event summer even more accessible is that there will be no registration fee to pay.

“We would like to encourage families to spend time together and not think about how much they are going to spend. What we like to promote is for families to just really have fun in the mall,” Cuenca added.

Everyday is Playday has a lot more in store this year. With the help of other partners like United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Disney, and Cogo, SM Supermalls is going to extend the event up until October, longer than the three-month running period it had last year.

“There is so much time that we need to give each brand for them to really interact with the customers and the kids. That’s why we cannot do this for just one to two months only. We are stretching it because we also know that the usual SM customers are families. We really want to give them a memorable experience in the malls,” explained Cuenca.

Apart from a longer period, this year’s Everyday is Playday is also going to host a lot of celebrations and anniversaries. As of now, the line-up of activities that has been finalized is only until May. More updates will be announced at the official website of SM Supermalls every two months.

The Everyday is Playday partnership with Nickelodeon will be in the following SM Supermalls: Fairview (April 7-10), Novaliches (April 11-14), San Jose Del Monte (April 12-20), East Ortigas (April 22-26), Marikina and Masinag (April 23-28), Manila (May 1-5), Sta. Mesa and San Lazaro (May 7-12), BF Parañaque (May 14-19), Sucat and Bicutan (May 21-26), and Angono and Taytay (May 28-June 2).
