The streetdance showdown of the Aliwan Fiesta has become a fierce battleground where color, pomp, and pageantry converge to define the annual festival as grassroots theater at its very best. With this in mind, Manila Broadcasting Company (MBC) is mounting the annual photography competition open to both amateur and professional photographers who will cover the grand parade on April 27.
Participants using digital or film-based cameras should submit entries printed in full color on any brand of photo paper in 8R size (8 inches x 10 inches), together with a self-addressed, stamped Manila envelope, and two copies of the registration form, which may be downloaded from the Aliwan Fiesta website or its officialFacebook page. The name of the contest participant should not appear on the face of the entry, which should not have been published in any other publication. Photos must have been taken during the grand parade.
The first prize winner will receive P50,000, P25,000 going to second place, and P10,000 for the third prize. All entries become the property of MBC, which will have the right to reproduce, exhibit, or publish the images for promotional purposes.
Deadline for submission of entries is on May 3, 2019 at 3 p.m.
The grand parade of Aliwan Fiesta 2019 will kick off at 4 p.m. from the Quirino Grandstand, traversing the length of Roxas Boulevard, and culminating in front of Aliw Theater at the CCP Complex.
