Vlogging for kids

A workshop to get you and your child started.

Moms and Babies- Vlogging
By Jane Kingsu-Cheng

Ask any parent with young children what their kids want to be when they grow up, and most of them will say “YouTuber” or a vlogger (video blogger). But where do they start? How do you make sure you have the right formula to capture a loyal set of viewers? What equipment and software or mobile applications do you need?

Manila Workshops saw the need for this, and recently launched their Kiddie Workshop and kicked it off with their very first vlogging class for kids from 4 to 17 years old. Parents can tag along, and learn a thing or two, too!

Omni and Bryce Larosa of #TheClingyFam share their vlogging tips to aspiring kid vloggers during Manila Workshop’s recent fun seminar

For their very first workshop, they invited Omni and Bryce Larrosa of #TheClingyFam to share their story and tips. The family started their channel in March 2017 so that they can document their most treasured moments. Their channel grew fast with over 3,000 subscribers in less than four months! Realizing that they have a purpose for their passion, they continue to produce content that showcase their everyday family life by sharing their triumphs and challenges, along with tips to help families along the way.

The speakers, Omni & Bryce of the #TheClingyFam, talked about how to vlog and create your own video channel. For one full day, the husband and wife tandem broke down the steps to make it easy for the kids to understand. The kids were invited to pick a toy and record their own video about their chosen product. The next step got the children excited, where they got to edit their video via a mobile application. The packed afternoon also included a guide on how to get started with your channel.
