Dining has never been just about food. Offering a complete dining experience with an exclusive and elegant ambiance to go with an exquisite French-Mediterranean cuisine is Lemuria Restaurant & Wine Bar in Bonifacio Global City. The second Lemuria branch following the Quezon City original, the restaurant recently served a slice of dining luxury by hosting an intimate dinner event attended by Manila’s high society. Titled “Medley of French-Mediterranean Fare,” the exclusive gathering welcomed Pinky Tobiano, Juancho Robles, Bianca Salonga and Dong Ronquillo, among others. On the menu was an inspired 6-course meal prepared by Chef Katrina Torres and CCA Manila Students. White Chocolate and Orange Scallops and Sea Urchin Duck Breast The feast began with a serving of Lemuria Signature Salad. With deep fried soft-shell crab with lardons, poached egg, walnuts and feta in balsamic vinaigrette, it was the perfect set up to the restaurant’s own take on the classic mushroom soup, topped with Gruyere cheese. Served next was the Fruits De Mer-fruits of the sea, or assorted seafood in tomato basil and white wine sauce. The main course was Beef Bourguignon, featuring US short rib fingers braised in red wine, enriched with shallots, lardons, mushrooms and potato puree on the side. Capping the fine evening was a serving of Lemuria Cheesecake. The signature dessert is a blend of two cheeses with dulce de leche, along with berry compote and mango coulis on top. Together with Chef Katrina in the kitchen to prepare the sumptuous selection were students from the Center for Culinary Arts, Manila. Aside from being a top dining choice, Lemuria Restaurant & Wine Bar, being co- founded by Insititut Culinaire Disciples Escoffier, is also committed to developing young culinary talents as an application restaurant for CCA Manila. The restaurant has become a popular venue for corporate meetings, events and private parties with its sophisticated interior and superior food. Set to be introduced in August is a special menu by celebrity Chef Sau del Rosario. Lemuria Restaurant & Wine Bar is located at The Plaza Arya Residences. According to Lemuria owner Kitt Schroeder, the BGC branch allows them to cater to a bigger market. “We are targeting those living in the south,” Schroeder said. “I want them to feel Lemuria Restaurant & Wine Bar as their second home.”
