Clowns, jugglers, men on stilts, and party guests arrived in costumes inspired by The Greatest Showman as the stage was set for the “Barnum & Bailey” theme of the birthday celebration of the man of the hour, Johnny Litton. The quintessential society columnist, Johnny is master of ceremonies nonpareil, who hosts some of the biggest events in town, among them the coming “Faaabvlous the 10th Anniversary” book launch and exhibit in November.
Johnny’s milestone was held at the grand ballroom of Grand Hyatt Manila. Displaying a bright demeanor and at 83, he is a seemingly endless tank of energy with stellar staying power.
Johnny once again dazzled members of the diplomatic corps, government, business, and society with the spectacular decor, design, and production numbers performed by friends of the celebrant.
Utmost attention to detail brought a fresh approach to the gourmet delights, cocktails, and wines. As the master showman began his speech, he expressed gratitude to Federal Land chairman Alfred Ty, and Hans Hauri, president of Bonifacio Landmark realty and development corp. Likewise to: Grand Hyatt Manila GM and area VP Gottfried Bogensperger, Ningning and Tita Trillo of Titania wines, Pam de Ocampo for Johnny’s Greatest Showman outfit, Richard Tiu for the birthday cake, Oli Laperal for video, Rustan’s, The SAEM, Beabi, Afficionado, D’Mark Corporation CEO Nikki Tang for the prizes of the winners of the best dressed of the evening, Flora Chua, Noel Gonzales, and Marissa Fenton for entertainment, and Mia Lozada of Bloomwoods.
