Beyond Your Wildest Dream

It’s a season of fantastic objects with Hermès autumn/winter ’19

Your most fanciful fantasies are the doorway to life’s exciting realities. They await you with Hermès’ theme of the year—dreams. Get lost in the composition of the sci-fi world within its newest silks. The meticulousness and rigor of its bags go dancing with Hermès’ signature saddle stitch and its whimsical shapes, textures, and proportions. Be transported through space and time with celestial watches, a meaningful yet secretive fragrance, and an energetic sneaker. Be armed for an infinite number of conditions with our surprising hats, gloves, and belt.

Dreams are the supreme means of transport. Imagination is your ticket from here to everywhere.

Hermès presents two new ways to carry your essentials. A trapezoid bag with clean lines and a flap brings together three different types of leather: epsom calfskin, hunter cowhide, and swift calfskin. It features an ingenious barrel bolt clasp shaped like a rod with a fully cased hinge, offering ease of use with its hidden magnet. The new Cityback Cross bag in epsom calfskin is the latest addition to the Cityback backpack line and can be worn on the waist or crossbody thanks to its adjustable strap. It’s inspired by the “Streamline” trend, conveying the idea of fluidity and speed.

At Hermès, wearing different hats and playing unfamiliar roles appear as liberating as it feels. Play the masculine-feminine card with a wide upturned brim and milliner square knot. Just like the band, the lining is made of silk printed with the Mors à jouets chemise motif. Or live out your equestrian universe with a hat decorated with a double wrap-around band in swift calfskin fastened with a delicate H Mors buckle with glazed lambskin cap, a dome-shaped crown, a saddle nail, and a visor in contrasting leather. A cap cut from a single piece of felt is decorated with fine nubs that suggest the outline of imaginary topstitching.

Set atop a rubber sole with H motifs, the new suede goatskin sneaker’s graphic design is enhanced with reflective piping forming wavy lines.

Dream-like figurines representing a horse head, a wing, and a miniature dragon, can be worn as pins or pendants in brushed palladiumfinish silvered metal.

The new Arceau L’heure de la lune watch simultaneously shows the phase of the moon as it appears from both the northern and southern hemispheres. On the aventurine dial, two depictions of the moon appear opposite one another in a starry sky. At 12 o’clock, the moon disk, as seen from the southern hemisphere, is decorated with a Pegasus designed by Dimitri Rybaltchenko.

To create the Galop d’Hermès watch, designer Ini Archibong carefully observed equestrian tack in the Conservatoire des créations Hermès. Drawing inspiration from their beauty and ingenuity, he designed a watch with aerodynamic curves and futuristic and clean lines. The Galop d’Hermès watch plays with light, reflecting it off the edgefree steel case, itself in the shape of a transformed stirrup.

Fire-breathing dragons—joined by other ferocious creatures of legend—are the antidote to the chill of winter. The thin seven cm tie in heavy silk features motifs of escape like a flying dragon. The giant High Flyer scarf in cashmere and silk is an invitation to fly to mountain peaks behind the controls of a helicopter designed by Dimitri Rybaltchenko. An extreme close-up of a T-Rex with jaws parted and a watchful eye is trapped in the Aaaaargh! scarf designed by Alice Shirley.

Do you dream with your sweet tooth? The La Pâtisserie Française design by Pierre Marie pays tribute to the creations of Jules Gouffé, the master pastry chef who set up shop on rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré in the 19th century.

The Brides de Gala design created by Hugo Grygkar in 1957 undergoes yet another transformation. Glowing with a luminous multi-color halo and multiple contours, it adopts a mysterious air and radiates intensity in the new Brides de Gala Shadow scarf.

The collection of Jardin fragrances welcomes a new vibrant creation, Un Jardin sur la Lagune eau de toilette developed by Christine Nagel. It is infused with the successive memories of an Eden tucked away in the middle of Venice, a garden swept with sea spray and caressed by the wind. The floral theme is carried on an enveloping breeze, a soft light blending wood, musk and flowering trees.
