The Manila Bulletin’s Earth+Lens photo exhibit to showcase local beaches at select SM malls

After its successful launch last May, The Manila Bulletin’s Earth+Lens 2019 photo exhibit is once again set to highlight the beauty of the country’s crystal clear waters and fine sands as it showcases images of local beaches at select SM malls in Manila.

Mounted through the partnership of the The Manila Bulletin, the Department of Tourism (DOT), and SM Supermalls, the exhibit supports DOT’s sustainability and eco-tourism campaigns. The agency’s objective and message to promote high value tourism to attract more tourists while at the same time prioritizing environmental protection has encompassed not just local communities but also other ASEAN countries when the six-month rehabilitation of the world-famous Boracay island took place. Following this, the DOT has also implemented rehabilitation efforts on other tourist destinations including Panglao in Bohol, and El Nido in Palawan, to name a few.

Last year’s Earth+Lens photo exhibit immortalized the beauty of Mother Nature through the macro lens of the Huawei P20 Pro’s dual rear cameras. On its third year, the Earth+Lens 2019 photo exhibit makes use of the triple rear camera setup of the Huawei P30 Pro to further spread the message of appreciating and preserving the marvelous charm the Philippines has. Images displayed at this year’s exhibit were captured by Ronald Jayme, editor of The Manila Bulletin’s Picture Perfect Section, and Ian Belleza of Going Places Magazine using the flagship Huawei P30 Pro.

The first leg of the Earth+Lens 2019 photo exhibit will be at the Mall Activity Center of SM San Lazaro in Manila and will run from Sept. 24 to 30. The exhibit will also visit other malls in Manila in the following weeks.
