What LJ Reyes realized when her daughter Summer got sick » Manila Bulletin Lifestyle

It was only when she was about to change her clothes when LJ realized she was not alone in her parenting journey. “Minsan nakakalimutan ko na andyan si Pao not because he’s absent, but because I was so used to doing everything on my own.

LJ took a selfie of herself as a reminder that she doesn’t have to ‘feel so messy anymore’ and thanked Paolo for being there with her every step of the way. The actor commented by saying, “You’re always welcome, mahal. Actually, no need to thank me naman. Duty kong alagaan kayo and I love doing it!”

The actress ended her post by telling her fellow moms it’s still okay if they are in a state of disarray. Our journeys may all be different pero parepareho ang puso natin!” she said.

What LJ Reyes realized when her daughter Summer got sick

The mom-of-two now has her partner Paolo Contis to share her parenting duties wit

When it comes to looking after their family, moms try their best to do everything even if it means having to accomplish things by themselves. Lucky for celebrity mom LJ Reyes, her partner Paolo Contis is just as hands-on when it comes to looking after their nine-month-old daughter Summer Ayana.

On her most recent Instagram post, LJ uploaded a selfie of herself dressed in a messy top, taken after her sick baby threw up on her. “Summer got sick about two weeks ago. She had coughs and colds. So pinapat ko yung likod niya to help her (somehow).”

The mom-of-two continued to hold Summer that way even when she started vomiting the phlegm on her and Paolo offered to look after the baby so LJ could change. Draping Summer’s burp cloth over herself, the actress continued to hold her daughter until she fell asleep.

I think this photo sums up how I felt the past weeks. And I think a lot of moms could relate! Summer got sick about 2 weeks ago. She had coughs and colds. And we are so thankful that it was just that! So many people are sick now, even kids are not spared! Isang gabi, sumuka sya sa kakaubo nya. Somehow small kids spit up phlegm that way. Their bodies’ way to get rid of it. So pinapat ko yung likod nya to help her (somehow). And I kep telling her “It’s ok. Mommy’s here!”. Sobra kapit nya sakin. Pao insisted that I change my clothes kasi malalamigan likod ko sa aircon. Pero nung napadaan ako sa salamin, naisip kong kunan sarili ko to remind me that night, that moment na.. “uy di na pala ako magisa!” Minsan nakakalimutan ko na andyan si Pao not because he’s absent but because I was so used to doing everything on my own. Hahaha (sorry na!) pero I took this photo to remind me na I don’t have to feel so messy anymore. So bakit ko kinekwento to? Wala. Gusto ko lang sana magpasalamat kay @paolo_contis! For being the father and partner that you are. Our journeys may all be different pero parepareho ang puso natin!
