Reminds us about the beauty of having siblings

Having a younger sibling has its own ups and downs, but these sisters who recently went viral on Twitter reminds us how lucky one is to have siblings.

According to Krissi Jimenez’ post, her younger sister Kate used her laptop when the earphone jack accidentally got stuck in it. “My 10-year-old sister accidentally did something to my MacBook,” she says. “I just can’t get mad at her, because I love her with all my heart but also, this note is everything.”

She then posted pictures of heart-melting letters from her sister admitting her mistake. “Ate (big sister), I was using your MacBook then my earphone jack got stuck,” she writes. “Please call Apple so they can get it out.”

In the letter, 10-year-old Kate apologized to her older sister Krissi and even offered to pay P1000 for the damages. “I’m very sorry please don’t be mad. I will give you P1000,” she says. “I tried to get it out myself but, instead, I messed up my nails and broke half of my pens.”

Meanwhile, Krissi shared that she’s not aware about this until she found the notes. “Funny thing is I never realized my MacBook’s sound isn’t working since I watch shows on either my phone or iPad, and if I hadn’t opened her drawer, I wouldn’t see this note at all.”

With the good virtues of honesty and owning up her mistakes, instead of getting mad, Krissi appreciates and loves her more. “I’m actually proud of her, because, as a kid, this note proves that—one, she’s willing to admit to her mistakes (‘I’m very sorry, please don’t be mad’), and two, she’s willing to CORRECT her mistakes (‘I’ll work and pay you back’ and ‘I tried to get it out’).”

As of writing, Krissi’s Twitter thread already garnered more than 5,000 retweets and 44,000 likes. Aren’t they sweet? We stan this kind of sisterhood.
