Cebu has a lot to offer when it comes to food—more than lechon and danggit. Fortunately, you don’t have to go all the way to the Queen City of the South to enjoy these treats, as Marco Polo Ortigas Manila will be featuring selected Cebuano dishes at its all-day dining restaurant Cucina.
Continuing its mission to showcase and highlight dishes from different regions, the hotel will be serving the regional items from Jan. 11 to 23, courtesy of Cucina’s culinary team led by executive chef Alisdair Bletcher.
Nilarang na Pagi
Some of the recommended dishes are the Sinuglaw (grilled pork belly and fish ceviche), Paklay (pork, beef and goat innards), and the classic Humba (braised pork belly with tausi and dried banana blossoms). The Nilarang na Pagi (ray in coconut milk), Ginabot (chicharon), and Cucina’s own take on the puso (cooked rice in woven coconut leaves) are also must-tries.
These Cebuano delicacies, along with a dessert pizza featuring the Philippine mango, will be available during the lunch and dinner spreads.
