Kameradare camera club has launched “Images: From Grains to Pixels,” a photo exhibit at the Solaire Resort Manila. Philippine Airlines pilot Jun Dangoy, who is the main mover of the camera club, said this will be the first of many future exhibitions from a group that started with film.
Kameradare is a vintage camera club formed in the early 1980s, in the happy golden days of grainy film. Members had their own darkrooms then, as they developed their black-and-white photographs back in the day. They have successfully transitioned to digital, hence pixels.
The photos on display were taken by outstanding Kameradare club members, photographs in various themes from the likes of Jun Dangoy (aerial), Cecilia S. Angeles (flowers), Edith Morales (landscape), Raul Tangco (nature), Victor Sison (paintography), Rey Veloira (foliar), and Elizabeth Chirico (sky art). The photo exhibit will run until March 31.
