Filipinos’ love for all things local has touched even the hearts of the people behind M Bakery. The brand from New York has decided to feature more of everyone’s local favorites this summer. The hot items are Mango Jamboree, Calamansi Cupcake and Muffin, and Choc Nut Cupcake.

Philippine mangoes, dried or fresh, are one of the most sought-after treats by both locals and tourists. Now the fruit can be enjoyed in M Bakery’s Mango Jamboree (₱325 per slice). Consisting of pecan shortbread crust at the base, then topped with layers of cream cheese, whipped cream filling, and fresh mango chunks, this dessert is a treat mango lovers wouldn’t want to miss.

Calamansi isn’t just for dips and drinks. The citrus fruit shines as the main flavor of these baked goods. The Calamansi Cupcake (₱165 each), with its calamansi filling and meringue icing, showcases the right balance of the fruit’s sour and zesty flavors. The Calamansi Muffin (₱185 each), on the other hand, consists of rich butter-based batter, fresh calamansi juice, and a pinch of calamansi zest. Both treats are pair perfectly with the bakery’s freshly-brewed coffee. Want more? There’s also a Calamansi Icebox Pie.

Choc Nut Cupcake

Apart from the Choc Nut Banana Pudding (₱165 each), the brand also rolls out the Choc Nut cupcake. It is made with the choco-peanut flavor of Choc Nut spread, then topped with Choc Nut buttercream, and chunks of Choc Nut bars. This treat is a must-try for chocolate and peanut lovers out there, as well as for those who grew up eating the nostalgic Choc Nut products during merienda.
